Now I have a really good excuse for not eating such foods. Fresh fruits and vegetables are stinkin expensive! And I have a hard time justifying spending so much of my grocery budget on foods that become, literally, poop. I think that's a fair excuse.
But we did the South Beach Diet a while ago which is a lot more fresh foods and man did we feel energized and healthy. I'm hoping I wont loose my drive for fresh this time around. I just bought some strawberries and cut them up and put them in serving sized dishes in my fridge. The best way to eat them is with a bit of sugar right? I think I'll have some with lunch tomorrow. Who knows, maybe by the end of the summer I'll even be passionate about passion fruit!

I can't believe you don't know what peaches taste like. They're amazing and sweet and drippy and soft. Stop by a fruit stand and they'll give you a sample - but there's a good possibility you'll end up with an expensive but healthy addiction.
No doubt! Or make a trip to the Okanagan - cherries, peaches, nectarines - SO SO GOOD!
Nectarines and fresh pinapple ... yum! I LOVE fruit. And veggies. But I don't eat nearly enough!
Strawberry's and vanilla icecream on a hot summer's night...nothin' beats it! It's like nature's candy=) YUM!
You are in for such a treat! I'm so used to having lots of fruit and veg that its very weird to think that you may not have tasted so many things. Have fun experimenting!
Fruit really is so expensive, so.... like Angella said, come visit! Everybody (except for us) seems to have fruit trees in their backyard, so you'd get lots for free!
:)
Yes Amanda! A visit would be lovely. :)
