The Doldrums
Today has been one of those days. I got a lot accomplished, I met a few small goals, I'm going out to Bible Study tonight sans kid and you would think I'd be feeling happy. Or at least be feeling something. But I just have those doldrums. When no matter what the day brings you still can't wait for it to end and another one to begin. They strike me as odd, the doldrums. I wonder if life ever just has that content feeling on days like these, I just wonder what it is that is missing when the doldrums come. And the obvious answer is nothing is missing at all, the doldrums have just taken over. But I do suppose that without doldrum days there wouldn't be any exciting ones!
