Garden Illiterate

I'm not sure if anyone can lend me any advice, but these are the "plants" in my garden box. I did not plant them and I am really not a gardener so I have no idea if any of these "plants" are actually plants or just all weeds. Anyone have any wisdom for me?

They don't look like weeds to me but I'm not saavy enough to know what they are. I'll send my mom your way ...

They look like plants to me too. But I think you may have to have your Grampa and Nana out to give you more info - they'd know.

Okay, the one with green and yellow broad leaves is a hosta. And the blue/green broad leaf one is a hosta too.The spikey one is day lilies, that will flower in any of a number of colors. The tall ones look like some sort of nettle. Check if the stems are square. If they are, pull them. The other tallish ones are tree saplings that blew in from seed.
The maple leaf like one is a perennial too but the name escapes me. Best bet: let them grow and see what they amount to and then decide if you like them.

Some of them are weeds (the lower lying ones) but most of them look pretty healthy and pretty nice. My suggestion - pull what you don't like and keep the rest to see what it becomes...

ok so i think the maple leaf looking thing that michelle pointed out might be a delphinium and if it is you will be blessed with AMAZING colors and it will keep coming back year after year. YEAH!
