Today at the zoo we spent some time listening to a zoo interpreter tell us about giraffes, ostriches and hippos.
Giraffes are pregnant for 15 months. Then at the end they give birth to a 6 foot tall 120 pound darling.
For some reason I find that comforting.

Yikes. Poor giraffes.
I heard that some giraffes are homosexual. Perhaps that explains why.
lol! How true! Could you imagine...fifteen months!?
Oy! I can't even begin to imagine being pregnant for 9 months let alone 15 months!!!
