Aint it Funny

Isn't it the way. I stated a goal, and had very good intentions and then life just happened! You know what I mean, all your daylight hours consumed by good things, but things that are not the ones you intended to do! I have a whole theme of blog posts half written in my head, but no time to sit down and compose them! I will get back here though, it is a goal, April sounds like a month to succeed right?

Today I ask a question of the blog reading masses: If you compose blog posts, when in your day do you do it? Do you have a regular time, or just when the mood strikes? IF you don't blog, how about journalling? Is it part of your routine? How do you keep up with your desire to write?

I write throughout the day in bits and finish usually after the kids are asleep.

I have a 27 minute commute. I "pre-blog" then... or else you just get read the ramblings of Jill.

I journal every morning when I read the Bible. It is a great way to focus on the day ahead. Blogging usually happens at 3 in the morning when I can't get back to sleep.
How are you doing, Amanda? You are in our prayers.

I set a goal to only blog something on Monday, even if it is just a little life blub to keep our families updated. I usually do it when the little one is napping or has gone to bed!

Enter the nerd:

For blogging, I write when the mood strikes. I also comment a lot on other people's blogs, because...well...I just can't help myself.

For journaling I have 3 journals. One for me, which is a catch all of things I'm thinking and doing, grocery lists, weigh ins, lists of goals and dreams, venting sessions, whatever.

Then I have a journal for each of my kids. I try to write in those for sure at birthdays, and new years, but also when they do funny things or I when I want time to stand still so I never forget what they are like right now. I also write advice to them as I think of it. Hopefully they will appreciate it when they are older.

I try not to have the expectation of myself to write every day, or on certain dates, because I don't think ideas work on a time schedule. They just come when you are least expecting them.

It's fun reading your blog, good luck with all your goals and dreams.

I blog in my head all the time, but rarely, these days, get to the comp to actually write it out.

I totally understand. I compose the blog in my head that day and sometimes lose the thoughts in the caos of my day or eventually get to it when the kids are not to crazy. Some days I wish I was a more scheduled organised person but truly how much can then happen with toddlers underfoot.
